Use
As a highly water-absorbing and highly water-retentive material, hydrogels are widely used in various fields such as drought resistance in arid areas, masks in cosmetics, antipyretic patches, analgesic patches, agricultural films, and condensation prevention in buildings. Agents, humidity control agents, water shut-off adjustments in petrochemicals, dehydration of crude oil or refined oils, dust suppressants in mining, preservatives, thickeners in foods, drug carriers in medical care, etc. It is worth noting that different polymer applications should be used in different applications to meet different needs.
Method of manufacture
A method for preparing a hydrogel, that is, dissolving sodium hydroxide in water and adding acrylic acid for pretreatment; adding corn starch, acrylamide and calcium carbonate in turn, stirring and heating reaction, and adding an initiator for grafting Polymerization; then the reaction liquid is poured into a mold and dried at a constant temperature. Its product components (weight percentage) include: corn starch 4.5-4.7, acrylic acid 21.4-22.5, acrylamide 9-9.5, ammonium persulfate 3.2-4.5, calcium carbonate 4.5-4.7, sodium hydroxide 9.5-9.9, excess water . It has the advantages of simple technology, non-toxic products, biodegradability and wide application.
